A Russian soldier falls in love with a nurse (Annabella), but she is engaged to a war profiteer (Bauer.) The profiteer cleans the soldier out in a game of cards, and then the soldier gets involved with spies. He's caught and tried for treason, and the only person who can clear his name is the profiteer who still despises him.
