Veteran funnyman Georgie Jessel is our host and narrator for this light-hearted look-back at the early and often humorously primitive days of motion pictures circa 1900 - 1910. Its concentration of rare films produced in France, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. set this compilation apart. Most of the sequences are long enough to give a feel of the actual film, not the usual familiar clips from movies everyone knows. Its not surprising the emphasis is on comedy, as the producer was also the manager of Martin and Lewis.
