An American trumpet star (Alex Nicol) appearing at the London Palladium meets and has dinner with a beautiful blues singer who is later found murdered. When Scotland Yard considers Nicol a "person of interest," he realizes he'll be facing the music unless he cracks the case himself. Cult horror director Terence Fisher helmed this topnotch Hammer Films noir.
